Russia to become Europe’s largest internet market
October 22nd, 2011 - 6:35 am ICT by IANSMoscow, Oct 22 (IANS/RIA Novosti) Russia will soon become the largest internet market in Europe, the country’s communications minister has said.
“Today we are Europe’s second largest market. At current growth rates, we are set to become the number one European market,” Igor Shchegolev said Friday during a conference in Paris.
Russia boasts of the highest internet audience growth rates and has 50 million internet users, just behind Germany, he said.
