Russia to be regular at ASEAN summits
October 30th, 2010 - 11:18 pm ICT by IANSHanoi, Oct 30 (IANS/RIA Novosti) Russia will be a regular at the Association of Southeast Asian Nations’ (ASEAN) summits from 2011 onwards, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Saturday.
The summit has made an official decision to invite the presidents of Russia and the US to attend the ASEAN summits, Lavrov told reporters after the Russia-ASEAN summit here.
The ten ASEAN members are Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. China, Japan, South Korea, India, Australia and New Zealand also participate in the ASEAN summits.
