Runaway horse stuns UK filmgoers bursting into local cinemaJanuary 5th, 2009 - 6:18 pm ICT by ANI
London, Jan 5 (ANI): Filmgoers in a UK cinema hall were taken a back when a rather unexpected guest joined thema horse.
A stallion, which jumped the queue and burst into the local cinema, was one of three that had escaped from a farm.
The horse ran through the automatic doors at the Cineworld complex in Boldon, South Tyneside, and sprint down a corridor before turning round and fleeing through the exit.
Staff at the cinema hall was not allowed to talk about the incident, revealed a source.
The horse was one of three which escaped from a farm quite a way from here, the Sun quoted the source as saying.
It was wandering around outside and a little girl frightened it by blowing a raspberry at it. The horse noticed the cinema and headed towards us, and when it got close, the automatic doors opened and in it came.
It was a bit of a surprise - the general public dont expect to see a horse in the middle of a cinema foyer - but it was all over in 20 seconds, the source added.
While no one was hurt in the incident on December 19, the horse was soon captured safely.
A spokesman said: Its certainly the first time I have heard of this happening and I have worked in cinemas for six years. (ANI)
