Rowling doesn’t rule out more Harry Potter books
October 3rd, 2010 - 12:39 am ICT by IANSLondon, Oct 2 (IANS) Here’s good news for all Harry Potter fans. Writer J.K. Rowling says she might just end up penning down more books on the young wizard and his escapades.
The writer says she felt “bereaved” after she completed the seventh and final book Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, now being made into a movie.
“I could definitely write an eighth, ninth and tenth. I’m not going to say I won’t. I don’t think I will. I feel I am done, but you never know,” dailymail.co.uk quoted Rowling as saying.
The writer, who has spent 17 years writing Harry Potter books, says her mother, Anne’s death gave birth to the popular book series.
“…The books wouldn’t be what they are if she hadn’t died. Her death is on virtually every other page of the Harry Potter books. If she hadn’t died I don’t think it’s too strong to say there wouldn’t be Harry Potter,” added Rowling.
The 45-year-old lost her mother to multiple sclerosis in 1990, six months after she began penning the world-famous books, which have been translated into 69 languages and published in more than 200 countries.
