Kuala Lumpur, May 4 (IANS) An Indian family touring Malaysia had a rough train ride when their coach turned turtle and fell into a river. They were all thrown out but were safe following the accident. The incident occurred when Sunil Kumar, 34, from Chennai, who works in Singapore, was returning after a brief holiday in Malaysia with wife Madhu Bhandari, and their three-year-old son.

The family had boarded the Singapore-bound train from Kuala Lumpur and were enjoying the comfortable ride when their coach at the end of the train began to shake.

“There were two big jolts. Suddenly, the train stopped and we were flung forward,” he said.

“I am grateful that my wife and son are safe. I must admit that it was a scary experience,” The Star newspaper quoted Kumar as saying.
