Ross Brawn beleives Schuey will be F-1 champ again
January 19th, 2010 - 1:34 pm ICT by ANILondon, Jan.19 (ANI): Mercedes GP team owner Ross Brawn believes Michael Schumacher will once again take the Formula One world by storm to become this year’s world champion.
Brawn said he had no doubt Schumacher could add an eighth title to his tally even though he is 41 and has been out of F1 for three years.
Schuey will be up against three other champions - Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso and McLaren duo Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button.
But Brawn said: “If I had to bet on any of them then it is clear that Michael will become world champion. He is now more relaxed. When he retired in 2006, F1 was a burden for him. Now I can sense his old enthusiasm.”
Brawn, who was technical director at Ferrari during Schumacher’s glory years with the Italian giants, however, conceded the German would need a period of acclimatisation. (ANI)
