Ronaldo supports Mourinho’s conspiracy theory

London, Apr 29(ANI): Real Madrid winger Cristiano Ronaldo has supported manager Jose Mourinho’s allegations that Barcelona’s two-nil Champions League win over his team was a huge scandal.
Following Barcelona’s victory in Wednesday’s semi-final, first leg in Madrid, Mourinho implied the Catalan giants receive favourable treatment from referees and claimed the club had yet to win a “clean” European title under manager Pep Guardiola.
Ronaldo has repeated the allegation, saying: “Barcelona are a great team. But those lads have a lot of power on the pitch and off it, too. Chelsea, Inter, Arsenal…”
Mourinho had named the referees he believes have helped Barcelona. They included Wolfgang Stark (in charge on Wednesday night), Tom Henning Ovrebo (referee when Barcelona beat Chelsea in 2009), Frank de Bleeckere (sent off Inter Milan’s Thiago Motta in last year’s semi-final) and Anders Frisk (retired soon after another controversial Chelsea v Barcelona game).
The European game’s governing body, UEFA, has opened an investigation on the claims, which could result in a raft of disciplinary charges.
Barcelona had claimed that the Portuguese manager’s allegations could incite violence. (ANI)
