Rocker Steven Tyler recovering after fall, says daughter
August 9th, 2009 - 1:22 pm ICT by IANSLondon, Aug 9 (IANS) Rocker Steven Tyler’s daughter Mia has reassured fans that the Aerosmith star is recovering well after injuring himself in a fall and will return to the stage “just as soon as he can”.
The “Rush Hour 3″ actress has issued a light-hearted statement explaining her rocker dad was hurt after he “walked the wrong way”, referring to his tumble during a show in South Dakota Wednesday, tmz.com reports.
But she insists the 61-year-old is well and intends to continue touring.
“The demon of screamin (sic) is not dead. Yes, it’s true my dad walked the wrong way and landed on his head. He broke his left shoulder and had to get a few stitches on his noggin (head). He is now at home resting and will be back on his feet just as soon as he can to rock the world once more,” Mia told the website.
The band’s guitarist Joe Perry recently hinted the the current tour could be cancelled to allow the frontman time to recover.
