London, April 3 (IANS) Rocker Gavin Rossdale, who used to be in the rock band Bush, was forced to give up his passion for soccer and turn to music. The singer once gave a trial at the Chelsea football team, but he had to forgo these aspirations after a knee injury, reports.

Rossdale, who is married to former No Doubt lead singer Gwen Stefani, also starred in the 2005 soccer movie “The Game of Their Lives”.

He went on to lead the band Bush but is still a huge soccer fan. He is now hoping his son Kingston, who will turn two next month, will take up soccer.
