London, July 21 (IANS) Singer Chris Brown posted a video statement on social networking website YouTube in which he has apologised for assaulting his former girlfriend Rihanna.
Thesun.co.uk reports that Brown claimed he was ashamed of his behaviour. He also accepted “full responsibility” and went on to add that he felt nothing but the “deepest regret over the fight”.
He said: “I’ve told Rihanna countless times and I’m telling you today I’m truly, truly sorry I wasn’t able to handle the situation differently and better.”
The altercation between them took place in February and he confessed to felony assault last month.
He had to attend anger management classes and also do community service.
