Ricky Gervais offered Prince Harry help with his best man speech

Washington, May 1 (ANI): Multi-award-winning writer and comedian Ricky Gervais has revealed that he had offered assistance to Prince Harry for writing his best man speech.
Gervais, who has previously admitted he had no interest in following the royal nuptials, said he sent a text message offering his assistance to the Prince ahead of the wedding on Friday.
Harry acted as chief groomsman as his brother Prince William married Catherine, in a lavish ceremony in London and reportedly followed tradition by giving a speech at the wedding reception.
“I sent Prince Harry a text today offering to gag up his best man speech. (True.) He said he was fine. Hmmm? If I hear he’s (made any risque jokes) I will sue obviously. I also reminded him it wasn’t fancy dress,” Contactmusic quoted Gervais as writing on his blog.
“On a serious note; I really like Harry. I like William too and really wish the happy couple all the best, as I would anyone on their wedding day. But… really. Enough already… Still, mustn’t grumble. I suppose everyone gets a day off… Congrats Will and Kate… There. I joined in,” he added. (ANI)
