Richard Attenborough recovering after slipping into coma

- London, Jan 3 (IANS) British filmmaker Richard Attenborough, the man behind the Oscar winning “Gandhi”, who was admitted to a hospital after he fell at his home, is “recovering well”. Attenborough suffered a head injury and slipped into a coma. He was admitted to the St. George’s Hospital here.
A spokesman for the medical centre said the diector’s condition was not life threatening and that he was recovering well, reports contactmusic.com.
The representative said: “Richard Attenborough is making progress and remains in a stable condition.”
Attenborough, 85, has also helmed the critically acclaimed films “Shadowlands” and “Chaplin”, as well as “Oh! What A Lovely War”.
He also acted in films like “Doctor Dolittle”, “Elizabeth - The Virgin Queen” and “Jurassic Park”.
