Rhys Ifans flees to Wales to get over Sienna MillerJune 25th, 2008 - 5:17 pm ICT by ANI
London, Jun 25 (ANI): Welsh actor Rhys Ifans is heading to his native Wales in a bid to control his boozing and mend his broken heart.
The actor had split from actress Sienna Miller earlier this month and he has been hitting the bottle ever since she phoned to tell him their relationship was over.
The distressed Notting Hill star, who has been consoling himself by going on a drinking binge, told his pals, at the Evian VIP suite at Wimbledon, that he is leaving for Wales in an attempt to stop his drinking.
Im going back to Wales tonight for two weeks to get out of London and get away from it all, the Sun quoted him as saying.
I just want to get back to my roots and be around my Welsh friends for a while, he said.
But before making his departure he went all out at on the opening day at the All England Club, where he joined Primrose Hill set pals Fran Cutler, Jamie Hince, Kimberly Stewart and Nick Grimshaw.
They were all having an early party to celebrate Clash legend Mick Jones birthday, who will be 53 on June 26.
Rhys has been partying very hard since the split, a pal said.
He knows it has to stop, so hes going back to Wales to calm down for a period. He plans to spend some time in Cardiff and some in the countryside, the pal added. (ANI)
