Jan 8, (THAINDIAN NEWS) A veteran Portuguese journalist, Carlos Castro was found dead by the police, in the 34th room of the posh intercontinental Hotel Of New York on Friday at around 7:00 p.m. The victim was lying amidst a pool of blood with injured head and his scrotum chopped off, as reported by the police. The officers belief that perhaps the murder was done by a Portuguese model, namely Renato Seabra, with whom, Carlos Castro checked in on December 29.

According to the reports of the initial investigation, Carlos Castro, who was known for his gay right movements, had a verbal dispute with Renato Seabra. A female friend of the veteran journalist, came to know about the dispute and went to the hotel to find out what was happening. When she was unable to trace Carlos Castro, she immediately reported at the help desk. At that time, Renato Seabra emerged and informed her that Carlos Castro was not coming out of his room. She lost her cool and started screaming out of panic. That is when the hotel stuffs opened the door of room number 3416, where he boarded, and found him dead. A boarder, Suzanne Divilly, who was also staying at the same hotel, just beneath the victim’s room, told the police that she heard a lot of noise and argument. Initially, she did not pay much heed to it, as it was not her concern.

When the police interfered they concluded that Renato Seabra might have lost his cool after the argument and cut of his scrotum. Then he used a furniture to injure him several times to death. However, the suspected absconded and the police still could not trace him. The police visited several hospitals in New York, with the hope that he must have injured himself during the dispute. However, there search has been to no avail so far.
