Rehman Malik conferred PhD degree
October 12th, 2011 - 12:55 pm ICT by IANSIslamabad, Oct 12 (IANS) Pakistan’s Interior Minister Rehman Malik has been conferred an honorary doctorate degree by Karachi university.
The University of Karachi awarded the doctorate degree at a special convocation, reported Associated Press of Pakistan.
The degree has been awarded by the syndicate of Karachi university in recognition of Malik’s “matchless services to the country in the war on terror and particularly in restoring peace to the citizens of Karachi”.
Speaking on the occasion, Malik said his goal throughout has been the betterment, progress and prosperity of Pakistan.
Malik did his Masters in Statistics in 1973 from the University of Karachi.
