Playa Vista, Jan 15, (THAINDIAN NEWS) In a sad development, a Los Angeles police officer shot model and former MTSU football player, Reginald Doucet which led to his death while the incident has created sensation in the media. The model apparently caused disturbance in Playa Vista region in early Friday morning with a cab driver and later stripped down while the fiasco was on. The cops struggled to subdue him and one of them, shot him even though he did not have any arm with him.

It is not clear why the former player got involved in a scuffle with the cab driver. A witness said that she saw the man running around without any clothes on his body though he had put on boxer shorts later. The cops were seen trying to detain him but he did not comply with them. Within a few minutes, two gunshots were fired by an officer which wounded the man fatally. He was shifted to a regional hospital where the doctors pronounced him dead. What has taken the friends and neighbors of the dead player by sheer surprise is the fact that he was not violent by temperament. Chris Ellison, one of his neighbors and friends said in last seven years he never saw the player lose his cool. The body of the dead player is still in hospital because an autopsy would be performed.

His friend said “I’m saddened by this because he was such a promising young man”. He also added that his friend took off his clothes possibly to show that he did not have any arm. It is not known what led the police to shoot him then. The two cops who were trying to subdue him also received minor injuries in the scuffle.
