Raymond Devaughn arrested for stripping in class while teaching
December 10th, 2010 - 12:34 am ICT by Aishwarya BhattKennesaw, Dec 9 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Students of the Kennesaw State University business course didn’t know what they were in for, when they signed for the course. They got the shock of their lives when out of the blue, their instructor Raymond Devaughn stripped in class. This incident happened last month at an Atlanta college.
After the incident, one of the students reported the incident to the college officials and then the part-time instructor Raymond was arrested by the police for his bizarre act. He was also charged with ‘public indecency’.
However the 57 years old Raymond was released from prison on Tuesday after a bond for $5,000 was met. University officials clarified that they were no longer interested in the services of the part time instructor. They made it amply clear that Raymond will not teach at the college again. “He will not be teaching again at KSU,” according to the university provost, Ken Harmon.
“We took this issue very seriously when the student complaint was registered,” according to Arlethia Perry-Johnson, who is the vice president of external affairs for the university
Raymond also refused to comment on the matter. However it ought to be mentioned that the incident is still under investigation.
