Rare Queen Victoria items to be sold at auction
August 14th, 2009 - 1:13 pm ICT by ANILondon, August 14 (ANI): Rare items made by Queen Victoria herself are set to go under the hammer in Edinburgh, UK.
A woollen bag and a silk shawl will be up for grabs next week, thanks to auctioneer Bonhams.
The two 19th-century items have been estimated to bag almost 4,000 pounds at the auction, reports the Daily Express.
The delicate bag was said to be decorated with small gold-thread panels depicting leaves while its sides were apparently made of purple velvet.
The Royal Stewart silk shawl was once sported by Queen Victoria herself at Balmoral. (ANI)
