London, Nov 8 (IANS) Rapper Ludacris says US president-elect Barack Obama disapproved of the song he wrote for the Democrat’s election campaign because it insulted his rivals Hillary Clinton and John McCain.According to ananova.com, the song “Politics As Usual” was infamous for the way the rapper disrespected Obama’s rivals. In the song, which was released in July, Ludacris labelled Hillary Clinton: “a b****”, called outgoing President George Bush “mentally handicapped”, and alluded to Republican John McCain as “disabled”.
Ludacris told a magazine: “The song was my artistic expression and was meant to get people who weren’t involved in the political process involved. Being as though it was the first mixtape to reach the United States government, (it) was a bit overwhelming.”
He later met Obama but he did not discuss the song.
The rapper added: “What myself and the president (elect) spoke about is confidential, but I took it upon myself to not speak (about) the song.”
