Rajapaksa visits Kilinochchi
April 16th, 2009 - 2:49 pm ICT by IANSColombo, April 16 (IANS) Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa Thursday visited Kilinochchi, the former administrative hub of the Tamil Tigers, officials said.
The visit coincides with continuous fighting between the military and the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), which now controls only a small strip of territory in Mullaitivu district.
