Rain washes out Knight Riders-Super Kings match

Cape Town, April 25 (IANS) For the second time in the Indian Premier League (IPL), rain played spoilsport and washed out the match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings without a ball being bowled at the Newlands here Saturday.
It had been raining heavily since morning here it wasn’t possible for the officials to make a second inspection of the ground. They waited till 7.15 p.m (local time), some 45 minutes before the cut-off time, before abandoning the match. Knight Riders and Super Kings got one point each.

The seventh match of the IPL between Mumbai Indians and defending champions Rajasthan Royals in Durban was also abandoned Tuesday due to persistent rain.

Two rain-interrupted matches have also been decided by the Duckworth-Lewis Method.
