Queen ‘makes her own tea at 5pm every day’
March 14th, 2011 - 1:18 pm ICT by ANILondon, Mar 14 (ANI): The Queen is a very traditional lady who makes her own cuppa at exactly the same time every day, it has been revealed.
Staff have been warned to leave the afternoon tea pouring strictly to the 84-year-old monarch, reports the Sun.
Wherever she is, she insists on making her own Earl Grey with Malvern water at 5pm.
But at any other time the Queen is happy for her servants to do it, said etiquette expert Jean Broke-Smith, who has strong personal links to the monarchy.
“She is a very traditional lady and when she has visitors, no matter where she is in the world, she pours tea for herself and all of her guests at 5pm. Queen Elizabeth is a very proud hostess,” the Sun quoted her as saying. (ANI)
