Kuala Lumpur, Feb 18 (Xinhua) A Qatar firm will build a $4.55 billion oil refinery in Manjong in the northern Malaysian state of Perak, the media reported Monday. A memorandum of understanding was signed Sunday between the Perak government and Gulf Petroleum (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd Sunday formalising the deal.
The project will be developed over three phases. It will comprise an oil refinery, a petrochemical plant and storage facility. It is expected to be completed in three years.
