Onboard Air India One, Dec 8 (IANS) Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin will visit New Delhi in March, Indian Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao said Tuesday.
“President Dmitry Medvedev will visit India next year to participate in the annual summit talks (between New Delhi and Moscow). Prime Minister Putin will also pay a visit to India that is likely to be in March 2010,” Rao said.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh returned home Tuesday late evening after what Rao said was a “successful” three-day trip to Moscow during which the two countries sealed six pacts including a full spectrum civil nuclear deal and three key defence agreements.
Rao was speaking to reporters onboard the prime minister’s special aircraft while returning to New Delhi.
