The event was filled with anxiety, as each of the puppies, of different species were clashing with each other to get their foam toy, and reach the end zone to score their touch down. To further add to the thrill, the ‘chicken’ cheerleaders were in their full spirit, while the half time performance made by the kittens, was no less adorable than that of Fergie.

47 puppies of different species, from several rescue homes, participated in the match. Only 10 of them could hit the field at a time. Different toys and foam footballs were scatters all over the field, and the puppies could score a touchdown, if they could grab their favorite toy, and run till the touchdown line, in the other side of the 19-foot long field. By the end of the game, the puppy who made the mark was a Canine chaos. Even Big Red, yet another big puppy, could make it till the end zone, after fumbling the toy initially. The other adorable puppies who participated in the Puppy Bowl are, 9-week-old Great Pyrenees, Oliver; a 10-week-old cocker spaniel, Brownie Sundae. where most of these dogs were adopted by the viewers, Big Red is still waiting to get a home.

The puppy referee, Andrew Schechter, said that before and after the match, there was a lot of cuddling going on in the back stage. Executive Producer of the event, Melinda Toporoff said that the main reason to conduct the Puppy Bowl, was to spread awareness about animal adoption. She is happy that the show turned out to be a huge success, and a number of little dogs got a home, after the event.
