London, Oct 15 (ANI): A 45-year-old psychiatrist has been accused of using sex, drugs and hypnosis to manipulate a patient into killing her husband.

Mary Hein, who is facing up to 20 years in jail is alleged to have told the patient that they would share her husband’s 500,000 dollars life insurance policy if he carried out the killing, reports the Daily Mail.

But the bizarre plot failed when the man, who has not been named, tipped off the police about Hein’s plan. He had been sent to see Hein for counselling after being arrested on a drink-drive charge.

After talking with Hein at her clinic the therapist began making home visits to put her plan into action. She is alleged to have spiked the patient’s drink with a powerful drug that put him into a trance like state.

The victim told police that while he was in a semi-conscious she had sex with him.

Hein later had sex with the man at his home in Kenosha County, Wisconsin, where she asked him to kill her husband.

Court papers reveal that the man was put under hypnosis while Hein tried to persuade him to kill her husband.

The patient told police that Hein said they would be a couple after her husband was dead and they could live comfortably off the husband’s half a million dollar life insurance policy.

Hein was arrested after the man went to police and the therapist was secretly recorded plotting her husband’s murder.

The psychiatrist has been charged with sexual exploitation by a therapist, one count of solicitation of first-degree intentional homicide and one count of obstructing an officer. (ANI)
