Johannesburg, Jan 16, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Lady Amelia Spencer, who is the daughter of Princess Diana’s brother Earl Spencer, has, reportedly, been charged with assault after she attacked a passenger in a taxi and then launched a foul-mouthed tirade at the him. The law enforcement officials said that the incident took place in Cape Town, last month. Lady Amelia Spencer was, reportedly, with a male friend when the altercation happened.

Ricci Cinti, 27, the passenger of the taxi said that Lady Amelia Spencer became angry when a taxi cut in front of her while she was waiting in queue of McDonald’s in Cape Town. The passenger, Ricci Cinti reported that out of rage, Lady Amelia Spencer allegedly started beating the body work of the taxi and then, reportedly, hurled abuse at the passenger. Ricci Cinti also added that Princess Diana’s niece and her male fried pulled him out of the taxi and then he punched the passenger at the side of his head. The local media outlets reported that the passenger was on crutches owing to some sports injury. However, he was later treated at the hospital for his swollen jaw.

The media outlets have also reported that after the incident Lady Amelia Spencer and his friend fled from the scene but Ricci Cinti took down their car’s number. However, after the incident became public few days ago, Earl Spencer denied all the allegations and said that the passenger in the taxi at first tried to assault his daughter and Lady Amelia Spencer “reacted in self-defence”. Lady Amelia Spencer denied to comment anything on the matter.
