Princess Diana’s Engagement Ring, From Harry to Kate, via Prince William

Nov 17 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The famously gorgeous sapphire and diamond engagement ring which belonged to Princess Diana is now being worn on the left hand of Kate Middleton, the longtime girlfriend of Prince William, Kate Middleton, which many are finding odd since the ring actually belonged to Prince Harry.
When Princess Diana dies in 1997 in a horrible car crash, her sons were taken to her palace, and allowed to choose a memento to remind them of their mother. Prince William chose to keep the Cartier watch which his mother used to teach him how to tell time, and Prince Harry chose to keep the eighteen carat oval sapphire set in eighteen carats of white gold, and surrounded by fourteen rounds of diamonds. This ring cost Prince Charles over forty thousand dollars when he purchased it for Lady Diana in 1981.
But according to insiders, when William asked Harry to allow him to give the ring to Kate, Harry gladly agreed, saying that it is only right that the beautiful Princess Diana’s ring be worn by the wife of England’s future king.
