The National Portrait Gallery has chosen Nicky Philipps, whose clients include author Ken Follett, to do the job.
Philipps has already had several sittings with the princes at Clarence House, their London home.
She revealed that she is painting the Princes in a relaxed pose in their uniforms, reports the Telegraph.
Meanwhile, Williams has won “provisional wings” as a military helicopter pilot.
He will be presented with the wings at a ceremony in Shawbury next month. (ANI)
