Prince Williams ”Harry Potter” scar from childhood golfing accidentMarch 19th, 2009 - 1:39 pm ICT by ANI
London, March 19 (ANI): Prince William has revealed that he has a scar on his forehead similar to that of Harry Potter, which he got from a childhood golf accident.
The second in line to the throne made the revelation to a 10-year-old cancer patient Alice Marples in a television interview to promote his support for the Teenage Cancer Trusts plans to build a new centre for young patients at the Royal Marsden Hospital in Sutton, Surrey.
The 26-year-old told how he got the fictional boy wizard like scar, which reportedly made nine-year-old Prince undergo surgery and bear 24 stitches in 1991.
That was for my Harry Potter scar, as I call it, just here, the Daily Express quoted him as saying in an interview with the BBCs Newsround.
I call it that because it glows sometimes and some people notice it other times they dont notice it at all.
But I got hit by a golf club when I was playing golf with a friend of mine. Yeah, we were on a putting green and the next thing you know there was a seven-iron and it came out of nowhere and it hit me in the head.
So, yeah, I was in hospital for that, but that was, yeah, very minor compared to how many times youve been into hospital, he added. (ANI)
