Prince William London, March 20 (IANS) Britain’s Prince William is thinking of going to Australia for his honeymoon, saying that it was “much nicer” there as “the weather at home is dreadful”.

William is getting married to Kate Middleton April 29. The prince was on a visit to Australia’s Queensland towns affected by Cyclone Yasi last month.

According to the Daily Telegraph, William said he would like to spend his honeymoon in the region and go scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef.

“I love scuba diving, I have always wanted to dive the barrier reef,” he said. “It’s much nicer down here, the weather at home is dreadful.

“I will have to come back, maybe we’ll have a honeymoon in Cairns,” he said to cheers from the crowd.

The prince invited Australians to the royal wedding.

“I expect to see you all there, I want to see lots of Aussie flags outside the Abbey,” he said, which led to another round of applause.
