Priest turned residence into ‘erotic dungeon’
May 22nd, 2010 - 9:07 am ICT by IANSRio de Janeiro, May 22 (IANS) A 44-year-old Poland-born priest allegedly turned his parish residence into an “erotic dungeon” where he regularly sexually abused minors, officials have said.
Police have issued a “preventative arrest warrant” for Marcin Michal Strachanowski, who allegedly handcuffed a minor in 2006 and forced him to perform deviant sexual acts at his residence in the Divino EspÃrito Santo church premises in Rio de Janeiro, CNN reported.
Meanwhile, a Brazilian newspaper - Folha de Sao Paulo - said the priest could not be found Friday morning.
The newspaper report said a 16-year old boy told investigators that the priest frequently raped him and threatened him to remain silent.
Police investigations have found out the priest had a “compulsive attraction to having sex with adolescents” and that he had allegedly turned his parish residence into an “erotic dungeon” where he forced boys to have sex with him, Alexandre Abrahao Dias Teixeira, a criminal judge, was quoted as saying in the court by the newspaper.
