President Patil leaves Britain after three-day visit

London, Oct 29 (IANS) President Pratibha Patil left London Thursday after a three-day state visit to Britain, the first by an Indian president in nearly 20 years.
Patil left for Cyprus where she will be on a state visit.
Patil had earlier in the day joined Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II to launch the 2010 Commonwealth Games Baton Relay at a gala Indian ceremony in Buckingham Palace.
The Indian president also addressed a meeting of business leaders organised by the UK-India Business Council (UKIBC) in London.
