Los Angeles, Feb 24 (DPA) A man who claimed to have donated sperm to octuplet mother Nadya Suleman a decade ago has said that she should agree to perform a DNA test to see if he is the father of her 14 children.
Denis Beaudoin told ABC’s Good Morning America Monday that he dated Suleman, 33, from 1997-99 and that he donated his sperm to her after she supposedly claimed to have ovarian cancer and needed to act quickly to have children.

“She really wanted to have kids,” Dennis Beaudoin said. “She asked me to donate sperm. … I thought it was kind of out of the ordinary, but I cared about her so much, and we were in love.”

Suleman has said that all 14 of her children were conceived through in vitro fertilisation, with sperm from an unidentified friend. She has previously named the donor as David Solomon, and denied to ABC that Beaudoin was the father.

Beaudoin, who is married and has two of his own children, told ABC that he would be willing to help raise the octuplets if it turns out he’s the father.

“Either which way, you know, if she needs it, I’ll lend a helping hand,” he said.

Suleman has come in for strident criticism since the birth of her octuplets as it transpired that she has no way to support the children and that she lives at her mother’s three-bedroom home, which is threatened with foreclosure.
