Pope Benedict XVI setting up exorcism squads to fight rising Satanism

London, December 29 (ANI): The Vaticans chief exorcist, Father Gabriele Amorth, has revealed that Pope Benedict XVI is setting up exorcism squads to deal with the rampant growth of Satanism.
He says that the decision in this regard has been taken in the wake of rising concerns among Church chiefs over growing worldwide interest in Satanism and the occult.
According to him, each Bishop will be provided with a group of priests who are experts in fighting demonic possession. Hundreds of priests will be trained as exorcists for the purpose, he says.
You have to hunt high and low for a proper trained exorcist. Thanks be to God that we have a Pope who has decided to fight the Devil head on, the Sun quoted him as telling Catholic website Petrus.
Pope Benedict XVI, who became leader of the Catholic Church in 2005, is said to be a firm believer in the existence of evil ever since he was in charge of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, the oldest Vatican department that deals with promoting and safeguarding Roman Catholic beliefs.
Father Amorth says the Pope had asked all the exorcists to help fight evil powers during a meeting last year.
“I remember a meeting we exorcists had with the Holy Father last year, in which he implored us to follow our mission as exorcists,” the Telegraph quoted him as saying.
Father Amorth has also revealed that the Pope is contemplating reinstating use of the prayer said to St Michael the Archangel, which was abolished in the 1960s, because it is believed to be the prime protector against evil.
The prayer is useful not only for priests but for lay people. For example if a lay person knows someone who is possessed and there is no exorcist available they can intervene by saying this prayer, commanding the demon to leave that person, he said. (ANI)

YESSSS!!!!!!!
Pope Benedict certainly knows what he is doing. I agree wholeheartedly with his decision. Thank the Lord, who has surely inspirited the Pope to do what he is doing.

This is just nutty. The pope doesn’t even understand what genuine Satanism is. He should study up at http://www.churchofsatan.com

I feel sorry for devil worshippers and people with mental illness. Didn’t this happen in a movie where the vatican had groups of vampire hunters?

Well doesn’t this bear a striking resemblance to the Inquistion? Like the Catholic church is as innocent as choirboys.

Study the material at the Church of Satan’s website and then read my book. We are talking very very different philosophies here.
Which kind did the Pope have in mind?

If there’s something strange in your neighborhood,
Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters!
If there’s something weird and it don’t look good,
Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters!
I ain’t afraid of no ghost!
I ain’t afraid of no ghost!
If you’re seeing things running through your head,
Who can you call? Ghostbusters!
An invisible man sleeping in your bed –
Oh, who you gonna call? Ghostbusters!

Hmm…
You know, such things have always amused me…the Catholic Church attempting to abolish darkness…. What they, and most followers of light, fail to realize is that there’s a distinct difference between “evil” and darkness… The concept of “Good” and “Evil” are all matters of perception, how individuals perceive any given act. Both sides are capable of these acts, and before all you devout Catholics start to harp and preach to me…I’d like you all to look up the Anal, Vaginal, and Oral Pear…or the “Pear of Anguish”. This device was used on various woman and men as an interrogation device and all around torture instrument by the Catholic Church.

Now, you can say that all the atrocities committed by those following your path were all in the past and the Catholic Church has gone beyond that…but you still have to accept that many of your priests have, admittedly, been molesting children to stave off their lustfully urges. In my eyes…rape is the most horrid act you can commit to an individual, and I am one who believes himself to be a product of the opposite end of the spectrum, not “God”. In my eyes, darkness has no desire to destroy the light…think of it in a predatory manner, why would a predator wish it’s prey to become extinct? To do so would ensure the extinction of the predator itself…and that goes both ways, existence can’t be without both aspects existing.

Regardless, Pope Benedict can construct as many zealous groups of exorcists as he desires to roam about the world and attempt to command the legions of hell from people’s bodies…it makes no difference. Not all the beings of darkness defected from God, not all were his creations…just as God has his angels, the Abyss has hers… Have you all ever wondered why Satan holds the title “Prince of Darkness”?
A “Prince” is never the top of a hierarchy… The concept of “Yin and Yang” holds much truth…no matter what religion you follow, and ever path is a matter of choice…never forget that. No individual will ever turn so many away from the path of God than a zealous Christian or Catholic…not even the “Devil” himself.

Those last few bits were simply my personal beliefs though, and that’s an entirely different story. Fact of the matter is…the Catholic Church should really look upon themselves in the “fight against evil” before they look to those who follow different paths…tossing the spotlight on another group to hide your own crimes is never an effective way of shrouding them in the face of individuals who hold even a semblance of intelligence…
My website is tossed up there so anyone can speak to me if they so wish, I’m more than willing to engage in mature, intellectual, conversation with members of any path…even those who follow that which opposes my own. ;)

Seems that the owners of this site don’t want anyone who’s on the “opposing side” presenting their thoughts. I should have expected such…but whatever, anyone who wishes to obtain the post I had placed here before it was deleted…by all means, contact me. It held no ignorance, no violence, no profanity…it just wasn’t the side of a Catholic or follower of God.

I say: The Pope has travelled the world to apologize to the many boys and girls the priests around the world have used and spoiled, and now is going after some of those people who learned evil on his knees before or under the priests who first showed the way???? I would think the Pope and his exorcist army would go hide their faces and give up some of the gold in the Vatican bank and feed the hungry instead.

We do not fear those who attack the Church, and Jesus and the Bible indicate we will be attacked for our faith….so keep on doing it, it just shows we are on the right path.
