Sep 3, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Police arrested a pimp after going through his advertisement in Backpage. The pimp used the ad portal to promote two girls who were found to be underage and was charged for trafficking and sexual servitude. The police did a typical sting operation after they responded to an ad on Backpage by the pimp and then nabbed him in the parking lot of a hotel in Nashville where he was found with the two girls. The two girls were taken under custody and charged with prostitution in the Juvenile Court as well.

Investigators have revealed that the suspects had advertised in Backpage for escorts. After they responded to the ad, they set up a meeting at a Motel in Nashville. Once the teenage girls agreed to have sex for money, the undercover detectives took them into custody and arrested the 36 year old pimp. A spokesperson for the Crisis Services in Nashville said that the teenagers depended on this business and called it survival sex. They added that the prostitution allowed them to have a roof over their heads. They also said that the younger they are, the easier it is for them to come out from such rings.

One of the girl’s parents have expressed shock at the news as they were not aware of the fact that their daughter was out of the hometown. Another family was not aware of their daughter’s whereabouts at all. The Crisis Services spokesperson said that it is important for the parents to pay attention and stay involved in their kids activities as it is the only way to stop such rackets. Both Backpage and Craigslist has been under severe fire recently for the prostitution ads and it has also led to several arrests in the last few months.
