Play about UAE enthrals Los Angeles
July 26th, 2011 - 11:38 pm ICT by IANSLos Angeles, July 26 (IANS/WAM) A play about the United Arab Emirates (UAE) - titled “Zayed and the Dream” - has drawn huge crowds in Los Angeles.
The play depicts the story of the UAE’s march to progress led by its founder, late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
“Zayed and the Dream”, produced by the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH) and performed by the Caracalla Dance Theatre, enthralled the crowd during a performances at the California University.
Performed by more than 100 artistes, the play has been staged in several cities across the world, including Beirut, Paris, London, Dubai and recently in Washington D.C.
The shows are presented in Arabic, with a simultaneous translation in English.
