Plane makes emergency landing in Russia
July 4th, 2011 - 9:02 am ICT by IANSMoscow, July 4 (IANS/RIA Novosti) An Airbus A-320 plane with 150 passengers on board made an emergency landing at an airport in Russia’s Siberia region after flying into a flock of birds.
The plane landed successfully at the Tolmachevo airport in Novosibirsk city Sunday.
It was on its way to Krasnodar in southern Russia, a transport official said.
No one was hurt in the incident.
The crew took the decision to return after the collision with the birds caused increased vibration.
