Pitt, Jolie twins pictures sold for $14 millionAugust 3rd, 2008 - 7:12 pm ICT by IANS
London, Aug 3 (IANS) People magazine and British tabloid Hello! have jointly bagged the rights to publish the exclusive photos of Hollywood couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s newborn twins, a deal considered to be the most expensive for celebrity pictures. The pictures were sold for $14 million with Getty Images as the photo agency and go-between, hufingstonpost.com reports.
People.com will unveil the first photo online Sunday evening.
“People will feature twin babies Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Leon in an issue to hit the news stands Aug 4,” informed People’s spokeswoman Nancy Valentino in a statement.
The money will go to the couple’s charity, the Jolie-Pitt Foundation, for humanitarian aid around the world.
The couple had earlier sold pictures of their kids Shiloh and Pax to the same magazines and the same photo agency to raise money for charity.
The US rights for the pictures go to People that will split the bill with Hello! magazine, which has the worldwide rights.
Hello! magazine secured the deal after a bidding frenzy with rival OK!, reports mirror.co.uk.
