London, Mar 31 (ANI): A student in US, who took photographs of a naked couple having a sex tryst on the roof of a college building, has said that he never meant for the pictures to go viral and had taken them only to show to friends.

The photographer was one of a group of students who watched the open-air liaison from their dorm in the Birnkrant Residential Hall at the Los Angeles college.

“There was a girl on our floor and apparently there was a girl who had been on higher floors and she told her about it,” the Daily Mail quoted him as saying.

“She came down and knocked on all the doors and we all ran across the hall. There were probably about 10 or 15 of us and we were pretty shocked and then we thought it was pretty funny.

“Then someone said there were people missing from our floor and we thought we had better document it as it was a pretty unbelievable thing. We wanted proof so people would actually believe it happened when we told them.

“It wasn’t a telephoto lense or anything but it was a pretty nice camera. It was just meant for people on our floor that weren’t there and everyone wanted to see them up close,” he said.

But he said the laughter turned to fear when the students became afraid for the safety of the couple when they appeared to go too close to the edge of the USC’s highest building.

“That’s when the students called campus security guards and the couple were caught,” he revealed.

The student, who wasn’t identified, said he never meant for the pictures to go viral and admitted he wished he had never taken them.

He said he initially posted the candid snaps on a private Photobucket account that required a password to access so he could share it with college friends.

But he claimed another student copied the pictures and sent them around other freely accessible websites.

“Legally if you are in a public place a photographer has the right to take pictures of you. Obviously, I think the fraternity or fraternities would probably be upset about it even though it wasn’t my intention for them to go viral.

“I didn’t realise when something leaks to the Internet how it can explode so quickly. I probably wouldn’t do it again. It was really unbelievable. My roommates and I were really shocked.

“I thought it was amusing but at the same time it wasn’t a wise decision on their part, I have no idea why they would do that if they didn’t want people to see or get caught.

“I mean they were moving around the top of the tallest building on campus from corner to corner,” he added.

The couple have not yet been publicly identified but USC’s Kappa Sigma branch has admitted that the man in the photographs is a fraternity member.

The male student has been suspended “for conduct unbecoming of a Kappa Sigma and a gentleman”, according to the school newspaper the Daily Trojan.

The identity of the woman remains a mystery, though the photographs linked her to USC’s Delta Gamma sorority because the philanthropy event was being held in the quad below.

But the sorority has denied the claim, saying there is no link between them.

“There is absolutely no relationship between these circumstances and our women or our event, Anchor Splash, which benefits sight prevention and the visually impaired,” a spokesperson stated. (ANI)
