Palin got $30K more for clothes?December 5th, 2008 - 2:53 pm ICT by ANI
Washington, Dec 5 (ANI): A report by the Republican National Committee, to be released on December 11, will show that Sarah Palin was given another 30,000 dollars to spend on her clothes and accessories, say sources.
The amount had been spent on Palins clothes during her run for Vice President of the United States, a source told Politico.
The revelation by Politico regarding the RNC spending 150,000 dollars on clothes and accessories in September for Palin from high-end retailers has left her public relations on shaky grounds.
Palin had built her political image around a folksy, regular-girl demeanour, but with the new accessories her image took on a sharper look.
The entire amount that has been spent on Palin during the elections will now be detailed on the committee’’s post-general election report, and filed with the Federal Election Commission.
The source has revealed that the filing will show that less than 30,000 pounds worth of accessories were purchased before the general election for Palin and her family in coordination with the McCain-Palin campaign.
The source also added that any clothes in the committees possession will now be given to charity. (ANI)
