Palin fuels presidential bid speculations by hiring chief of staff

Washington, Feb 13 (ANI): Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has hired a veteran operative to serve as a chief of staff, fuelling yet another round of speculations that she would be contesting in 2012 presidential polls.
Palin has hired Michael Glassner to serve the key role, Politico reports.
“We are excited that Mike has agreed to come on to help the team,” Sarah PAC treasurer Tim Crawford said.
Glassner, a former aide to ex-Senator Bob Dole, will be tasked with bringing greater organization to the far-flung and small staff that resides in several different states and time zones, the report said.
Most Republican operatives have been saying that one of the key obstacles in the way of Palin’s presidential bid is the absence of an experienced staff.
The appointment of Glassner, who is familiar with Palin from his service on John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign, is viewed as a step in that direction. (ANI)
