Pakistans Intelligence Bureau chief resignsMarch 18th, 2008 - 9:11 pm ICT by admin
Islamabad, Mar 18 (ANI): Pakistans Intelligence Bureau chief Ijaz Shah has resigned from his post.
It may be recalled that late premier Benazir Bhutto, who was assassinated on December 27 last year, considered Shah as one of her dangerous enemies.
On Monday, Shah reportedly held a farewell meeting with caretaker Prime Minister Mohammadmian Soomro.
According to senior government officials, Shah had sent his resignation many days ago and the government accepted it.
In Pakistan, the federal government controls the IB, while the Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) and Military Intelligence controlled by the military. (ANI)
