Pakistani soldier’s body recovered in Siachen
May 27th, 2012 - 6:21 am ICT by IANSIslamabad, May 27 (IANS) The body of one of the Pakistani soldiers buried in the Siachen glacier following a massive avalanche last month has been recovered, Geo News reported early Sunday.
According to sources, rescue operation was on to recover other bodies.
On April 7, a total of 138 Pakistani soldiers and civilians were buried in Siachen’s Gayari sector after a military camp was hit by a massive avalanche.
Pakistani personnel and experts from Germany and Switzerland launched search and rescue operations following the incident.
