Pakistani police official shot dead
May 8th, 2012 - 12:36 pm ICT by IANSIslamabad, May 8 (IANS) A senior police official was gunned down in Pakistan’s Quetta city Tuesday, a media report said.
SP Crime Investigation Department (CID) Shahnawaz Khan was fatally shot in Quetta’s Satellite Town area, DawnNews reported.
The official was taking a walk outside his house in the early hours of Tuesday when he was targeted by gunmen who came on two motor cycles.
He was taken to a hospital where he died.
The official had been on the hit list of various militant and separatist organisations due to his unyielding attitude towards them, the media report said.
