Pakistani band ‘Azal’ launches album in Mumbai

June 25th, 2008 - 8:56 pm ICT by ANI -

Mumbai, June 25 (ANI): Pakistani band Azal launched its music album ‘Road to Infinity’ in Mumbai.
The Karachi based band launched the album amid much fan fare on Monday. Its debut single ‘Aisi Taisi’ was a major hit across Pakistan.
British pop sensation Hard core released the CD’s of the Pakistani band.
While sound of the band is edgy and rocky, melodies remain its mainstay.
Sameer, a member of the band said: “Our music is all about song and sound of the soil. The melodies used in the song are from India and Pakistan. When you hear the background music, it’s all Western; it’s all very progressive and is basically collaboration.
Shahbaz, another member of the band said: It is a mixed album and has all kinds of songs. There is a rock flavour in it and it is meant for everyone right from a fifteen year’s old to a forty year old man.
This is not the first time that a band from Pakistan has rocked India. Not a long time back, Junoon and many other bands had charmed the music lovers across India.(ANI)
