Pakistan to issue Rs.20 coin
May 21st, 2011 - 2:14 pm ICT by IANSKarachi, May 21 (IANS) The State Bank of Pakistan will begin issuing from Saturday a Rs.20 commemorative coin to celebrate 2011 as the Pakistan-China friendship year, a media report said.
The commemorative coin was launched Friday on the occasion of the 60th Anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China, the report said quoting an official statement.
The coin will have a diameter of 30 mm and weigh 9.5 grams, Daily Times reported.
The obverse of the coin shows the waxing crescent and a five-pointed star facing northwest in rising position.
The words - 2011, YEAR OF PAK CHINA FRIENDSHIP - in English is written on the top of coin.
