Pakistan continues to sponsor terror in India: AdvaniNovember 16th, 2008 - 10:38 pm ICT by IANS
Chandigarh, Nov 16 (IANS) Bharatiya Janata Party leader L.K. Advani Sunday accused Pakistan of continuing to sponsor terror against India, and the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government of failing to curb the menace.”Most of terrorist organisations are getting constant help from our neighbouring country Pakistan. Despite this, the UPA government is supporting Pakistan and giving statements that Pakistan is itself a victim of terrorism,” Advani told a rally here.
“The UPA government has failed to maintain the law and order situation in the country. People are scared of bomb blasts, thousands of farmers committed suicide during the UPA tenure,” he said.
“The debt waiver scheme of the government for farmers was also a political stunt that also failed badly.”
The BJP leader also criticised India-US nuclear deal: “The deal is full of shortcomings and cannot do any good to anyone.”
“The nuclear deal with the US has proved futile and now no Congress leader is ready to talk about (it),” he said in his address to the Vijay Sankalp rally of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
He said India was a great democracy and “every countryman should be proud of it. During every Lok Sabha election there are 100 million new young voters that happens nowhere (else) in the world.”
