According to The Mirror, Pakistan-born Qamar Malik, 48, “decided to challenge racial barriers” at Amec Utilities Ltd when he was rejected for the 30,000 pounds-a-year post.

And the dad of four said it “smacked of racism” when he was offered an interview after sending in an inferior CV for “R. Lloyd-Hilbert” to the firm’s waste water plant in Treforest, South Wales.

Mr Malik, now working in London, told the Cardiff panel: “I did this in case my children suffer this indignity in coming years.” (ANI)
