Fresh contingents of the army reached the restive district and took positions in front of Imam Dherai, the headquarters of Mullah Fazlullah, also known as “Mulla Radio”.

The dwellers of Kabal said that the army fired more than 30 mortar shells on suspected hideouts of the militants, leaving a local Talib injured, The News reported.

A residential building was partially damaged in a mortar shell fire at Kabal. No casualty was, however, reported.

The Army also dropped pamphlets from helicopters wherein the locals were urged to extend a helping hand to the law-enforcers against the “miscreants” whose terror activities have inflicted heavy loss to tourism and business in the region. (ANI)
